Mindful Artist Mentorship Program
Creating a Life as a Professional Artist

with Michele Théberge

  • Would you like to devote yourself more fully to your art?

  • Does getting your art out into the world feel daunting or intimidating?

  • How would it feel to get more organized? What if it was effortless?

  • Do you often feel at the end of the day that you didn't really get done the things that you meant to get done?

Imagine for a moment with me…

You wake up in the morning excited about the day ahead.

Ideas and inspiration bubble forth effortlessly and you have endless energy to create.

As you set to work on your art you feel calm and centered. You know exactly what to do.

You are focused and productive in the studio.

You feel confident about your work and completely detached about whether other people like it or not. Interestingly the more detached you are, the more people are drawn to your work.

You are attracting opportunities for exhibiting and sharing your work on a regular basis. You have a full and supportive community of like-minded artists who help spur you forward and keep you focused on your purpose.

You end your day satisfied that you are on track with your priorities and accomplished what you set out to do.

What results will you enjoy after following this intensive mentorship program?

  • A daily sense of purpose and getting on top of your dreams and priorities.

  • More confidence about your work and direction.

  • Excited and energized about doing your work and sharing it with the world.

  • An established commitment to regular studio practice.

  • Organized and prepared for even more success – no more scrambling and rushing to complete things.

  • Ready to move forward like never before.

  • Greater peace – you'll be doing all this in a sane, balanced and healthy way.

I used to be exactly where you are now…

In my early years as an artist, I was determined and enthusiastic, yet I suffered from self-doubts that left me paralyzed both in the studio and in the business side of my art.

Sometimes in my studio I would feel like I was being crushed by critical voices in my head. I didn't believe my work was any good. Sometimes, I would feel a sudden sense of exhaustion when I went to make art.

I began to submit my portfolio to shows here and there, but I had a random, inconsistent approach and absolutely no follow-through.

I wanted so badly to make art full-time, to enjoy success and accolades. I really wanted to figure it out!

So I took every class and read every book I could find about being a professional artist. I got largely the same advice from each course or book. But what I didn't get was the confidence or the clear strategy to follow through.

The problem was, there wasn't ANYTHING available that could teach me a WHOLISTIC process to create a satisfying and joyful life as a professional artist.

Now, my life is the one I used to dream about…

Years ago, I wrote out a vision of what I wanted for myself as an artist. At the time, I was working in a tiny, dark basement studio of my apartment; I had perhaps sold one or two pieces, and had a few group shows to my name. (I was embarrassed by my puny resume.) Now that I look back, it is amazing how much of what I dreamed of has unfolded.

I dreamed of a studio in nature surrounded by wildlife. Today, I have a beautiful studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean in a community of dedicated and accomplished artists from around the world. (I hope you won't hate me if I admit that is just ONE of my studios, I have a second one just outside my back door where I can work at a moment's notice.)

My other dream was to connect with art lovers and artists and share my work in different parts of the world. To date, I have had work exhibited and collected in eight countries. I was also selected to participate in a life-changing cultural exchange and series of exhibitions between a group of artists in Japan and the U.S.

Furthermore, I recently had the honor of having my work exhibited alongside well-known artists whose work I have long admired.

These days I know there are many folks who appreciate my work, and yet regardless of what others think, I feel confident and sure about my value as an artist. My process is not swayed by others' opinions of the work and I no longer choose to look outside myself for confirmation of my worth.

I have had the privilege to work with wonderful galleries who sought me out, rather than the other way around. The galleries I have worked with have been supportive, honest, appreciative and respectful and have paid me promptly when my work sells.

One of the things I treasure the most is an amazingly community of artist friends. These artists are stretching and reaching with their own work and inspire me to do the same. We are able to exchange ideas, information, opportunities and resources. We support each other in our successes and our challenges.

I have also sold my work for sums I would never even have dreamed of years ago – even while other people were experiencing a recession and scarcity.

But most importantly –

Creativity flows out of me easily and effortlessly.

(I actually wrote that in my vision statement long before it became true for me.) This connection to what I call my creative Source means more than anything to me. If you took everything else away this consistent connection would feed me endlessly. It means I am able to take risks and continually expand my practice, moving my work forward in meaningful ways.

And here's something even sweeter that I wrote in my vision statement:

Each day brings me much joy and love and excitement.

I can honestly say this is completely true for me now.

Because I am so passionate about teaching and sharing what I know, I have taken what I have developed over years of trial and error and distill it into a step-by-step holistic program that addresses ALL aspects of an artist's life.

This sequential program has brought other aspiring artists through a complete transformation, and I'd like to help you, too. I share everything that has helped create my success, from the most practical organizational and business tools, to my deepest spiritual knowledge and experience. Over 23 years of daily meditation practice and spiritual studies, I have honed my intuitive skills so that I can help others on a deeper level than the material. Because I have been a practicing artist for over 30 years, I have experienced a lot of the ups and downs that entails and have been able to help others avoid common mistakes and pitfalls.
