| Making archival linen hanging tabs for works on paper |

Yesterday, I needed to show my assistant Sarah how to create tabs for my drawings. I thought, hey! might as well share my technique with you, too!

Let me know what you think and  also let me know if there are any other topics you’d like me to cover in a video tutorial.

Carolyn, what a sweet thing to say. Your comment really keeps me motivated to keep doing these. I know I don’t have the budget for professional videos but as long as they are helping people, I’ll keep doing them in my own low-tech way!

This is a super, simple, way of hanging art! Never knew this tape existed. My friend and I do art with kids and have lamented constantly about those pesky pinholes.
Your “low tech” (as you call them)videos are the best! Personally, I look at your studio background and get re-energized to keep on creating.
I would echo Carolyn, your sweet, soothing voice is so easy to listen to and calming for me.Thank you for all you for us.
    God Bless! Heidi Emmett

Heidi! How cool that you will do this with children’s art. You can even teach them how to add them themselves. I used to teach kids, too, and I just know how long it can take it you need to do this for all of their art yourself. I think they would have fun making and afixing these little tabs. And thanks for your support and encouragement!

Looks like a great way to hang water colors also, which i have wanted to do without making pinholes on them. I like to see the paper, and no reflections and I don’t like frames! Thank you Michelle, you keep me thinking ART!

Hi thanks for the demo. I have a big exhibition coming up and I want to hang 64 silkscreen monoprints on paper without puncturing the paper with pinholes. I have just spoken to my art supplier here in Liverpool and the only linen tape they have similar is archival tape which we don’t think is the same as its not very tacky and not activated by water and so the process is not not reversible either. Can you let me know the name and supplier of the tape if possible please? Many thanks, Jacqui
